Location: Astoria, Oregon
Hours: Up to 24 hours/week
Pay: $18/hour
The Wildlife Center of the North Coast (WCNC) is seeking a dedicated Wildlife Rehabilitator to join our team. This part-time position supports the admission, care, rehabilitation, and release of injured and orphaned wildlife on the North Oregon Coast.
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Rehabilitation Coordinator and Senior Wildlife Rehabilitator, the Wildlife Rehabilitator assists in:

Training, supervising, and working alongside Wildlife Care Volunteers and Interns

Maintaining accurate patient records

Performing medical procedures appropriate to skill level and training

Answering the wildlife hotline and coordinating rescues or transports

Assisting with diet preparation and maintaining sanitary recovery environments
This role requires a self-starter who can manage duties efficiently and independently while supporting the mission and professional standards of WCNC.
Qualifications

Able to follow instructions and take initiative

Strong organizational, interpersonal, and teamwork skills

Ability to work respectfully with wild animals, minimizing stress to patients

Experience in wildlife rehabilitation or animal rescue preferred

Valid driver’s license required

Must be able to represent WCNC professionally and communicate our mission
