Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A School Psychologist position is available at an elementary school in Bridgeport, CT, for the uping school year. This contract role offers the opportunity to support students educational and emotional development in a dynamic elementary school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct prehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and intervention services tailored to students' needs
- Assist in crisis intervention and conflict resolution within the school environment
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success
- Monitor and report on student progress related to behavioral and emotional health
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working in an elementary school environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of psychoeducational assessment tools and counseling techniques
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills
