BIM Model Coordinator, Automated Warehouse Systems
Job Description
Job DescriptionJoin Symbotic as a BIM Model Coordinator in Wilmington, MA
Picture your morning: you log into a multi-disciplinary stand-up with our Structure & System Layout group, part of Symbotic’s Layout Engineering & Continuous Improvement organization. A new customer distribution center is taking shape, and your Revit workspace already contains a data-rich model of intricate steel structures that anchor a large-scale automation system. By midday, you’ve coordinated with architects, structural engineers, and our robotics teams to validate model accuracy. Before you wrap, you publish updated sheets and schedules that keep installation crews and supply chain partners moving with confidence.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Build, manage, and refine advanced BIM models in Revit—complex families, views, browser organization, sheets, schedules, and filters included.
- Produce complete drawing sets (plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules) that clearly convey design intent for high-density, automated warehouse environments.
- Champion fidelity: ensure models and documents align with internal and customer standards and accurately represent the system design.
- Lead quality checks to confirm accuracy, completeness, and consistency across models and drawings.
- Coordinate closely with Symbotic engineering teams and external partners to synchronize models, drawings, and timelines across disciplines.
- Prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting, adapting to evolving requirements while maintaining a solutions-oriented outlook.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Structural Engineering preferred.
- BIM or Revit certification is a plus.
- 2–4 years of experience in the building or construction industry.
- At least 2 years of hands-on Revit work in both 2D and 3D.
- Working knowledge of structural steel components preferred.
- Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Inventor, AutoCAD, and Navisworks; Bluebeam and Revitzo are a plus.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and re-sequence tasks to meet project goals; calm, accurate, and positive under time pressure.
