A K-12 educational institution in Aberdeen, MD, is seeking a skilled School Psychologist for a contract position during the current school year. This role offers the opportunity to support the academic and emotional well-being of students across all grade levels through assessment, counseling, and collaboration with staff and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct prehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for students K-12.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to address academic, social, and emotional challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to design individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and assist with behavior management plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ply with legal, ethical, and school policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with diverse student populations in a K-12 school setting.
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools, IEP processes, and state/federal guidelines.
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and work independently.
