Ready Scout, a private, professional Lake Management Company delivering high quality, science-based services for lake communities and governments seeks person with degree in Biology/Ecology/Natural Resources for Full-time/Part Time (4-5 days/week) position with our team. Position is a mix of remote technical work such as permitting, report writing and crafting management plans, with field work on lakes during the growing season. Ideal candidate will combine science background with computer proficiency and an interest in marketing and social media, and value the opportunity to make an immediate impact to projects, customer relations and company growth. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and capacity to work independently are a must. Competency with Excel, Google Earth Pro and/or Arcview a plus. Company is based in the Albany/Glens Falls, NY area, and projects are primarily in upstate NY, but range as far as northern NJ, VT and southern Ontario, so some overnight travel will be necessary.
