Position Overview


We are currently seeking a dedicated, patient, and compassionate live-in caregiver to support an 83-year-old male client residing in Dallastown, PA. The client lives alone and is experiencing dementia, requiring attentive support with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
This role includes providing personal care, companionship, meal preparation, and engagement in daily activities to promote comfort and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with all ADLs, including personal care, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene.
• Engage the client in conversation, hobbies, and light walks (when appropriate).
• Prepare light, nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Provide companionship and emotional support in a safe, nurturing environment.
• Monitor and report any changes in the clients condition to the care team promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized living space for the client.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with seniors, especially individuals with dementia.
• Demonstrated skill in redirection and de-escalation techniques.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable with strong communication skills.
• Physically able to assist with mobility and personal care.
• Comfortable around household pets.
• Must be reliable, professional, and attentive to client needs.

Schedule & Compensation

• Schedule: Live-in coverage, with breaks and rest periods compliant with state and federal labor laws. The clients family will also provide daily relief as needed.
• Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience.
• Benefits: Mileage reimbursement.
