Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Pierce County – Large Fabrication Facility
Compensation: $35.00 - $40.00/hour (DOE)
Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract-to-Hire
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at a large-scale fabrication and processing operation. This is a hands-on role critical to keeping production running smoothly in a fast-paced, heavy-industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of industrial equipment
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Maintain and repair forklifts, cranes, diesel trucks, welding/cutting equipment, power tools, and CNC steel processing machinery
- Overhaul and rebuild diesel engines and gasoline engines (primary specialty preferred)
- Read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a large fabrication or heavy manufacturing facility (strongly preferred)
- Expertise in diesel mechanics and gasoline engine repair (#1 priority)
- Strong working knowledge of:

- Electrical systems (480V, motors, controls)
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Welding and cutting equipment (MIG, TIG, plasma, oxy-acetylene)
- Forklifts (electric & IC), overhead cranes, and rigging
- CNC machinery for steel processing (lathes, mills, plasma tables)
- Diesel trucks and heavy equipment
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability (on-call rotation possible)
Preferred Skills
- Certification in diesel mechanics, hydraulics, or industrial electricity
- Experience with predictive maintenance tools (vibration analysis, thermography)
- Familiarity with CMMS systems
