Project Architect (Hybrid)
Overview
I'm partnering with a global design firm ranked among the top in the industry. The firm has a diverse portfolio and is seeking a Project Architect to join its growing Mission Critical team. This individual will oversee multiple architectural projects from early design through construction completion and will carry full responsibility for client satisfaction, project performance, and team leadership.
The ideal candidate is a licensed architect or senior leader with proven experience managing complex projects, mentoring staff, and strengthening client partnerships while upholding design and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead coordination between consultants and internal teams to translate design intent into construction documents
• Partner with Project Managers and Principals to manage production schedules and deliverables
• Prepare, review, and coordinate construction documents that meet firm standards and QA/QC procedures
• Oversee technical resolution and coordination for assigned project components
• Conduct and review code and zoning analysis for compliance
• Organize and lead internal and external coordination meetings
• Maintain consistent communication with clients and provide project updates
• Work with consultants, agencies, and contractors to resolve RFIs, clarifications, and modifications
• Prepare and present design and technical materials to clients and stakeholders
• Research materials, products, and systems for design and detailing improvements
• Ensure proper use of materials, systems, and construction methods
• Identify potential project risks and collaborate with leadership to address them
• Lead team discussions on coordination, technical issues, and collaboration
• Conduct site visits and attend construction meetings; prepare related documentation
• Maintain consultant coordination notes and track action items
Qualifications
• Architecture degree from an accredited program
• 8+ years of experience, including at least 2 years in Mission Critical projects
• Registered Architect
• LEED or sustainability credential preferred
• Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks
• Working knowledge of Dynamo, Rhino, Grasshopper, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and SketchUp
• Strong understanding of building systems, QA/QC procedures, and accessibility standards
• Advanced ability to research, interpret, and apply building codes
• Knowledge of sustainability and integrated design principles
• Proven ability to maintain client relationships
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Experience mentoring junior staff
• Record of delivering projects on time and within expected quality
• Occasional travel may be required
