Responsibilities
- Lead complex patent and trademark litigation matters in federal courts, before the PTAB, and at the ITC
- Manage global IP portfolios for clients across technology and life sciences sectors
- Develop and execute IP enforcement and monetization strategies tailored to client goals
- Negotiate licensing agreements, technology transfers, and conduct IP due diligence for corporate transactions
- Draft and prosecute patent and trademark applications to secure broad protection
- Provide legal opinions on freedom-to-operate, validity, and infringement risk assessments
- Collaborate closely with technical and business teams to align IP strategy with product and market objectives
- Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the growth and leadership of the IP practice
Job Details
Requirements
- J.D. degree and at least 8 years of experience in intellectual property law
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Admission to the USPTO and at least one state bar
- Proven track record in complex patent and trademark litigation and prosecution
- Deep technical understanding of software, hardware, and/or life sciences technologies
- Expertise in global IP portfolio management, licensing, and enforcement strategies
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience advising clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies
