JOB SUMMARYThe R&D Contract Scientist will support the Frisco facility. This role focuses on advancing applied research, innovation, technology, and athlete services through clinical research studies in hydration science. The position requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and adherence to the highest ethical and scientific standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage clinical trials related to hydration science, including protocol refinement, participant recruitment, and study execution.
- Demonstrate knowledge of exercise physiology, sports nutrition science, laboratory testing, research studies, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
- Assist with sports science testing, including elite athlete and clinical research participants, using lab and field-based assessments (metabolic, body composition, biochemical, and neuromuscular).
- Collect and organize data, prepare reports, enter data into spreadsheets and databases, and create/file study regulatory documents (CRFs) in compliance with GCP and client's standards.
- Exhibit strong communication skills with internal and external partners.
- Manage projects effectively, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and scope; set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and report deliverables to leadership and stakeholders.
- Assist with participant recruiting and scheduling/coordinating lab visits as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of exercise physiology and sports nutrition science.
- Experience in clinical research and familiarity with GCP guidelines.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience conducting clinical trials in sports science or related fields.
- Familiarity with metabolic, body composition, biochemical, and neuromuscular assessments.
CertificationsGood Clinical Practice (GCP) certification preferred.
Education RequiredBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Exercise Science, Sports Nutrition, Physiology, or related field.
Experience RequiredPrevious experience in clinical research or sports science testing preferred.
