Job DescriptionFood-Grade Packaging QA Technician (Plastics & Print)

Picture the first minutes of a production run: plastic cups and bottles glide off the line, graphics crisp, edges smooth. You’re there at the heart of it—verifying that every piece meets spec and that our ready-to-drink cocktails are packaged to perfection.

Your day-to-day

  • Partner with production to spot trends early, resolve issues quickly, and prevent defects before they multiply.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections on plastic cups/bottles using visual checks and dimensional measurements per established SOPs.
  • Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators to validate critical dimensions.
  • Document inspection results, nonconformances, and corrective actions with complete, legible records.
  • Verify the schedule, product, and materials before and during runs to ensure the right inputs are on the line.
  • Champion Quality, Safety, Food Safety, and Environmental standards across the floor; escalate equipment, quality, environmental, and food safety issues to your supervisor promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly work area and support teammates to operate safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures as well as OSHA and FSSC guidelines; uphold GMP, HACCP, and FSQA expectations.
  • Support environmental compliance, energy-saving efforts, and recycling practices.
  • Follow safety requirements including PPE, LOTO, emergency preparedness, machine guarding, and general safety rules.
  • Contribute wherever needed—other duties as assigned.

What you bring

  • Strong communicator who collaborates effectively across shifts and departments.
  • Knowledge of quality control principles and hands-on inspection experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset to interpret data/metrics and drive continuous improvement and corrective action.
  • Experience with APQP and FSQA concepts; solid quality control background.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and multitasking.
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.

Physical & schedule requirements

  • Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working on mezzanines, ladders, and steps.
  • Operate in tight spaces and variable conditions (hot/cold, wet, noisy).
  • Available for overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Perks & benefits

Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; FSA options; 401(k) with employer match; paid time off; free weekday lunch; and real growth opportunities.
