Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will design and implement individualized educational programs based on each child’s needs and goals, working closely with families in a home-based setting. New graduates are encouraged to apply and will receive mentorship and support.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver specialized educational programs tailored to individual developmental and learning needs
- Conduct ongoing assessments and monitor progress
- Collaborate with families to integrate educational strategies into daily routines
- Work closely with service coordinators and other therapy providers to ensure holistic care
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with program requirements
Qualifications
- Valid NYS Special Education Teaching Certification
- Strong commitment to individualized, family-centered education
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Organized, reliable, and empathetic
