J&Y Law Firm is a rapidly growing Plaintiff's Elder Abuse & Personal Injury practice located in Los Angeles, CA. We are currently seeking an experienced Elder Abuse Litigation Paralegal & Calendar Clerk to join our dynamic and mission-driven team.

Paralegal Duties
- Assist attorneys with elder abuse litigation from intake through trial
- Draft and review pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, correspondence, and demand letters
- Prepare and organize exhibit binders, trial materials, and mediation briefs
- Communicate with clients to gather updates, documents, and case-related information
- Summarize medical records, discovery responses, deposition transcripts, and facility records
- Coordinate experts, medical providers, and vendors
- Assist with trial preparation, witness lists, trial subpoenas, and exhibit management
Calendar Clerk Duties
- Perform e-filings in state and federal courts
- Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and litigation deadlines
- Maintain and update multiple attorneys’ calendars
- Track court deadlines, reminders, and compliance dates
- Prepare notices of hearings, deposition notices, and related calendaring documents
- Communicate with court clerks, opposing counsel, experts, and service vendors
- Oversee service of pleadings and ensure all filings are completed timely
- Anticipate next steps and proactively prepare required documents
Requirements
- 3–5 years of litigation experience, preferably with elder abuse, medical negligence, or personal injury
- Strong calendaring experience required
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and court e-filing platforms
- Professional demeanor and strong reliability
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Bilingual in Spanish is a strong plus
