Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students in a dynamic educational setting in Detroit, MI. This contract position spans the full school year, providing a structured environment to make a meaningful impact on student growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students unique learning needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create inclusive and effective learning environments.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and assistive technologies to support diverse learners.
- Maintain accurate documentation and pliance with state and federal special education regulations.
- Foster positive relationships with students to encourage academic, social, and emotional growth.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification for K-12.
- Experience working with students with disabilities across multiple grade levels.
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and behavior management techniques.
