As an Engineer-In-Training for Traffic, you will support various Traffic projects on our team.
What are the core responsibilities for the role?
- Collect and analyze traffic data and prepare technical reports (e.g., traffic counts, speed studies, traffic signal warrants, crash analysis, etc.)
- Support Project Managers and Engineers with engineering design tasks for various projects
- Perform civil engineering design and associated calculations and interpret plans from other engineering-related disciplines
- Apply technical expertise and be able to work with a project team on conventional and unconventional projects
- Perform independent research and delegate changing priorities
- Adhere to Horrocks safety standards to uphold a safe and efficient environment
- Work in a collaborative team environment and deliver accurate work product that is error-free
- Maintain a professional attitude and fulfill responsibilities with integrity
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering – Engineer-In-Training
- 0-2+ years of experience in civil design is preferred. Entry-level candidates will be considered
- Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
- Have a strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
