Job Description

We are seeking a School-Based Mental Health Therapist to join our team!

Position: School-Based Mental Health Therapist (Part-Time or Full-Time Options)
Locations: 4 -6 School Sites Across Prince George’s County, MD
Employer: McGuire Therapeutic Services
Start Date: August 26, 2025

Payment 40-75 per hour
Provide individual and group counseling to students (elementary, and preschool)
Conduct risk assessments and provide crisis intervention as needed
Collaborate with school staff to identify students in need and create care plans
Maintain clinical documentation in a HIPAA-compliant system
Offer parent support sessions and help families access community resources
Participate in school wellness meetings or behavioral teams, as needed
Ensure services align with COMAR and PGCPS policies
What We Offer:

Flexible schedule (2–3 days/week per school) with consistent placements
- Clinical supervision (for LMSWs and LGPCs)
- Supportive administrative team and electronic record-keeping

- Qualifications:
  
  Active Maryland license: LCPC, LCSW-C, LGPC, or LMSW (required)
  - Experience working with youth or in school settings (preferred)
  - Strong skills in trauma-informed care, crisis management, and collaboration
  - Must be organized, flexible, and able to work independently on-site
  - Ability to pass background check and meet school clearance requirements
