  • Type: Temp-to-Hire | Hiring Immediately
  • Location: 210 Haleyville Industrial Rd, Haleyville, AL 35565
  • Shifts (Mon–Thu): 1st 5:00am–1:30pm (up to 3:30pm OT); 2nd 3:00pm–12:00am (up to 2:00am OT). Friday OT as needed.
  • Pay: $18.00/hour to start (Haleyville-specific; may vary by location)

What you’ll do

  • Operate and set up production/assembly equipment; train teammates as needed.
  • Assemble components to spec; perform measurement and weight checks.
  • Inspect product, respond to defects per work instructions, and partner with Quality Technicians for consistency.
  • Practice Masonite Lean (5S+1), participate in Safety and Plant Kaizens, and help design poke-yokes for error-proofing.
  • Read schedules and list counts; complete departmental paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Gather materials; operate forklifts and KVAL lifts; keep accurate downtime/production records.
  • Perform minor preventative maintenance and operator care; support troubleshooting with Maintenance/Quality/Management.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards; wear appropriate PPE; perform weekly EHS audits.

Requirements

  • Prefer 1 year of manufacturing experience
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen

Skills and physical demands

  • Basic reading/writing; able to read a tape measure
  • Math: add/subtract fractions and whole numbers; convert fractions to decimals
  • High manual dexterity; attention to detail; strong teamwork; works with minimal supervision
  • Lift up to 80 lbs; frequent bending, twisting, stooping; stand for long periods
  • Comfort working in a mildly controlled environment (some heat/cold and light dust)
