Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time School Psychologist position is available for the upcoming school year within a K-12 educational setting located in Des Plaines, IL. This contract role offers an excellent opportunity to apply specialized skills in psychological assessment and intervention to support student learning and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to identify students' cognitive, behavioral, and emotional needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide consultation and counseling services to students, staff, and families.
- Assist in crisis intervention and behavioral management strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and federal regulations related to special education.
Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist Licensure in Illinois is required.
- Experience working in K-12 school settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of psychological testing, assessment tools, and intervention methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently and handle confidential information responsibly.
