Civil Trial Defense Attorney
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Civil Trial Defense Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing clients in civil defense trials, mediations, arbitrations, and depositions. The role requires a strong advocate with excellent trial skills and a proven track record of success in the courtroom. Practice areas include product liability, employment law, personal injury, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in criminal trials, including jury and bench trials.
- Prepare and review legal documents, including motions, briefs, and pleadings.
- Conduct depositions and manage discovery processes.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel in mediation and arbitration settings.
- Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding their cases and potential outcomes.
- Develop case strategies and present compelling arguments in court.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of case progress and client interactions.
Qualifications
- Jurisdictional license to practice law.
- 8+ years of experience as a Trial Attorney
- 3+ trials to verdict necessary
- 5+ near verdict preferred
- First chair on 3+ jury trials necessary
- 5+ bench trials preferred
- Strong knowledge of trial procedures and rules of evidence.
- Excellent negotiation and mediation skills.
- Experience in depositions and arbitration proceedings.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
