NEOGEN JOB ADVERT – DATA ANALYST I
Location: Lincoln, Nebraska| Onsite
At Neogen, our mission is to protect the world’s food supply and support animal and human health through innovation and science. We are currently seeking a Data Analyst I to join our Genomics team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of genotypic data to our global customer base.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, eager to learn, and committed to supporting quality standards through collaboration, data management, and continuous process improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the generation, quality, and accuracy of genotypic data across assigned projects

Facilitate data transmission to customers via LIMS and FTP systems in collaboration with operations teams

Support internal teams with data reformatting and structural alignment to enable further analysis

Conduct quality control reviews to identify and address data discrepancies

Maintain working knowledge of genotyping analysis software for a single platform

Prioritize workload and delivery schedules based on customer needs and internal planning

Communicate effectively with laboratory staff to support data flow and troubleshooting

Demonstrate familiarity with molecular biology techniques and relevant technology platforms

Contribute to process efficiency initiatives and cost-reduction opportunities

Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and comply with ISO 17025 Quality Standards

Engage professionally with colleagues and leadership across departments

Meet individual and team-based performance and quality goals

Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Education and Experience:
-
Associate degree in genetics, molecular biology, biology, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
-
Experience working in a laboratory or data-heavy environment is a plus
Technical Skills:

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)

Familiarity with data manipulation tools, quality systems, and file transfer platforms
-
Ability to interpret written procedures and generate routine documentation

Physical Demands:
