Midwest Filtration is searching for a 1st shift Maintenance Technician to add to our growing team.. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of all machinery and equipment within the facility. This role requires a strong aptitude in troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance. Building maintenance will be required as well.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Observes and discusses machine operation with supervisors, operators, or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems and repair machines.
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery and performs other preventive maintenance duties.
• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and/or pneumatic equipment, including repairing and replacing gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
• Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment, including performing routine building inspections and addressing any issues that arise.

· Coordinates with outside contractors for specialized building repairs and maintenance projects.

• Document machine corrections and all PM tasks.
• Keep accurate part inventory records

ISO

• Assist in Development of any ISO related policies/procedures for your function
• Adhere to Company ISO policies/procedures
• Other projects and duties as may be assigned

Education and/or Experience:

· High School Diploma or Vocational Education required

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance field

· PLC Experience Preferred

· Electrical Experience: 24VDC, 120VAC, 240VAC and 480VAC

Computer Skills:

Knowledge of E-mail, Microsoft Windows Excel and Word, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and affiliated software packages.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Individuals must possess the interpersonal skills to communicate with coworkers and have the ability to understand and apply Lean Manufacturing Concepts.

Physical Demands/Work Environment: The ability to work in a manufacturing environment, which could include sitting or standing for the majority of the day. Responsibilities include the need to lift, carry, push, and pull material on a frequent basis. Must be capable of lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds infrequently.
