Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 school in Edinboro, PA, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counselor to support student development and well-being for the 20252026 school year. This full-time, contract position offers the opportunity to work throughout the school year with additional summer hours, providing continuous guidance and support to students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to promote student success and a positive school climate
- Assist students with career planning and post-secondary options
- Develop and implement prevention and intervention programs that enhance student growth and resilience
- Maintain accurate records and participate in meetings concerning student progress and support services
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience as a School Counselor or Guidance Counselor in K-12 settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build trusting relationships with students, families, and staff
- Knowledge of developmental counseling techniques and educational resources
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for all students
