Position: Engineering Design & Development

Two consultant-level positions are currently open.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have experience in at least half of the following areas:
- Design improvements to utility infrastructure systems, including:
-
- Power, HVAC, lighting
- Central chilled water & boiler plants
- Air and gas compression
- Refrigeration
- Water and wastewater treatment
- Process heat recovery & recuperation
- Steam and water distribution systems
- Piping, pumping, motors, automated controls
- CADD, Revit, and BIM
- Combined Heat & Power (CHP), Distributed Generation (DG), Co-Generation, Demand Response (DR), Solar PV, and BESS electrical interconnects
- Renewable and alternative energy systems:

- Energy storage, biomass, biofuels, solar, wind, waste-to-energy
- Emissions reduction, waste reclamation, and operational optimization
- Reliability and energy modeling experience
- Economic and life cycle analysis
- Knowledge of energy rebates, incentives, and tax deductions
- Knowledge of emissions credits, cap-and-trade programs, environmental/green incentives
- Air & water quality, compliance, permitting, environmental services
- Technical writing and presentations
Required Education & Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- E.I.T. required; P.E. preferred
- Equivalent experience or training may substitute for formal certifications
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to travel 20–30%
Location & Work Environment
- Senior-level positions may be based anywhere in the contiguous United States
- Flexible work-from-home options are available
- Corporate office is located in the greater Houston, Texas area
Additional Role-Specific Requirement
Electrical Engineer – Professional Engineer (PE)
- Must be an active/current registered Professional Engineer
- Licensure ideally in CA, PA, FL, or TX
- Must have experience with:
