---THE POSITION: JEWELRY STORE ASSOCIATE---
In this position, you’ll assist customers in our retail store on bustling Alberta Street! Saturdays and Sundays are our busiest days, so that's why working weekends is a requirement of the job! We are OBSESSED with giving great customer service, and our ultimate goal is to make every customer 100% happy.
You'll be responsible for greeting customers, assisting them as they shop, helping them try on jewelry, and using our point-of-sale. You'll be expected to replenish items as they sell and maintain a clean and organized shopping environment.
At least one year of working in a customer-facing setting is required. New hires receive on-the-job training for every aspect of this position, but applicants with relevant experience are prioritized by our hiring team.
*Jewelry-making, design, and online order fulfillment are NOT part of this position.

---COMPENSATION---
This is an entry-level position and pay ranges from $16.50 to $18.00 an hour with many areas of opportunities for growth. A higher starting wage will be considered for someone with more than one year of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced retail setting.
Full-time employees work 5 days a week for 7 hours a shift from approximately. 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
We also offer a $350 hiring bonus at three months, and again on one-year anniversaries!

---ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS---
• Must be a *current* Portland-area resident (at least 3 months, preferably longer)
• Must be able to work at our shop/studio in person (this position is on-site)
• Feel comfortable and be able to work efficiently on computers
• Must be able to work with hands for long stretches of time (6-7 hours at a time)
• Good eyesight is a must
• Able to use a ladder or step stool and be able to carry items that weigh up to 30 lbs.
• Available to work weekends
• Available between November 10 and December 24 due to a high-volume sales period
