Key Responsibilities:

* Perform installation, commissioning, and startup of complex custom automation equipment at client sites.

* Conduct comprehensive diagnostic troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and software-related issues.

* Execute preventative maintenance routines and necessary repairs to maximize machine uptime.

* Provide on-site technical support and training to client personnel on equipment operation and maintenance.

* Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve complex technical challenges and provide field feedback for continuous improvement.

* Generate detailed service reports, including problem descriptions, resolutions, and recommendations.

* Manage travel logistics efficiently to various customer locations, often requiring extensive travel.

Recommended Qualifications:

* Associate's degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.

* 1-3 years of experience in a field service, maintenance, or technical support role, ideally within an industrial automation or manufacturing environment.

* Basic understanding of PLC logic (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMI interfaces, and industrial control systems.

* Familiarity with interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and pneumatic diagrams.

* Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with industrial machinery.

* Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to fault diagnosis.

* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while on customer sites.

* Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 75% or more) throughout North America, with potential for international travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

* Experience with industrial robotics (e.g., Fanuc, KUKA, ABB) or vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence).

* Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

* Prior experience in a custom machine build or systems integration environment.

* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
