Build Dakota Scholarship & Career Opportunity (Lake Area Tech Students)

First Rate Excavate is partnering with Lake Area Technical College and the Build Dakota Scholarship Program to support students pursuing a technical education while preparing for a long-term career in the construction industry.

This opportunity is designed for high school students or incoming Lake Area Tech students who are interested in applying for the Build Dakota Scholarship and exploring post-graduation employment with First Rate Excavate.

Student Application Process

Students interested in this opportunity should complete the following steps:

  1. Apply for admission to the Lake Area Technical College program of interest

  2. Apply for the Build Dakota Scholarship (January 1 – March 31)

  3. Complete the FAFSA

  4. Submit an application with First Rate Excavate to indicate interest in partnering for employment and scholarship opportunities

  5. Participate in job shadows and/or interviews with potential employers
