Paraprofessional
Contract Dates: ASAP - 12/19/25 * Could continue into the full school year *
Shift: Mon-Fri, 6.5 hours a day, 32.5 billable hours a week
2 Needs at South Bay Elementary for 1 student.
The director will not be interviewing for this role and expects that the client thoroughly vet all candidates before they are submitted for consideration. Expectations that need to be set with candidate prior to submitting are below.
- Consistent attendance.
- Punctuality.
- Importance of maintaining flexibility while on assignment.
- Must hit the ground running, follow students plan, and work independently.
All paraeducators in WA must have a high school diploma and they also need to have one of the following:
- Have received a qualifying score on the Education Testing Service (ETS) paraeducator assessment
- Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university
- Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university
- Have completed an apprenticeship as a paraeducator, in a program registered with the Washington State Apprenticeship and Training Council.
