Job Description
Opportunity Overview
A nationally recognised residential school program is looking for couples to serve as live-in mentors for students from under-resourced backgrounds. This full-time role involves providing a safe, structured, and nurturing home environment for a group of approximately 8–12 children in grades Pre-K through 12.
Couples will live on campus in a furnished home, where they help support students' day-to-day needs, foster healthy routines, guide life skills, and contribute to their academic and personal development. This is a salaried, year-round position with significant benefits and on-the-job support, including housing and meals while on duty.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as caregivers and role models to a diverse group of students, promoting academic responsibility, emotional growth, and positive behavior.
- Establish daily routines that include meals, chores, homework support, recreational activities, and consistent discipline when needed.
- Transport students to appointments, extracurriculars, and community events using provided vehicles.
- Maintain records, administer basic medication, and support students with budgeting and essential life skills.
- Engage students in non-denominational spiritual development, including participation in Sunday chapel services (without proselytizing).
- Work collaboratively with school staff, counselors, and program leaders to ensure each student’s success.
What’s Offered
- Annual salary: $44,768 per spouse
- Full compensation package estimated at $165,000 per couple, including:
- On-campus housing with all utilities
- Meals during work periods
- Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision)
- Retirement savings options
- Paid training and relocation assistance
- Work schedule: 9 days on / 3 days off rotation, with personal time during school hours
- Additional time off: 3 weeks of paid vacation during the summer break
