CES/AWS is looking for a Shift Supervisor – 2nd Shift

📍 Louisville, KY | 💵 $33.49/hr (2nd Shift) | ⏰ 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM | Full-Time

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor to join our team in Louisville, KY. In this role, you will lead and coordinate production activities on the 2nd shift to ensure operational goals are met safely, efficiently, and with a strong focus on quality. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing/assembly environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel, monitoring progress, and revising schedules as needed.
• Direct and coordinate activities to meet production goals.
• Oversee quality processes, including SPC, conformance to prints, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support customer problem resolution and ensure acceptable quality standards.
• Monitor employee attendance, approve time sheets, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, and equipment maintenance.
• Lead and coach team members while promoting a culture of accountability and improvement.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing practices such as Kaizen and Kanban.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment (required).
• Prior supervisory experience (preferred; union environment experience is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of safety practices, process improvement, and quality systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office in a Windows-based environment.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Must have excellent attendance and be willing to work overtime/weekends as needed.
