Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available in a K-12 school setting, starting August 27, 2025. This contract role involves managing a separate Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) classroom with a caseload of 10 students, including 3 non-verbal learners. The classroom is supported by a paraprofessional to enhance the learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs
- Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to the ASD population in a separate classroom
- Collaborate with support staff, including paraprofessionals, to facilitate student progress
- Monitor student assessment data and adjust strategies to meet educational goals
- municate regularly with parents, guardians, and other team members regarding student progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in pliance with state and federal regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education
- Valid Massachusetts state licensure or certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Minimum of two years teaching experience in a K-12 educational setting
- Strong knowledge of ASD-specific teaching methods and behavioral strategies
- Ability to manage a classroom with students requiring specialized support
