Job DescriptionParalegal Civil Litigation Paralegal

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Civil Litigation Paralegal to support our legal team in managing a diverse caseload. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in all phases of civil litigation, from case inception through trial, ensuring the efficient and effective handling of cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trial by organizing exhibits and witness lists
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
  • Manage case files and maintain accurate case management records
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law
  • Assist in the discovery process, including drafting discovery requests and responses
  • Review and summarize documents for relevance and privilege
  • Interview witnesses and experts to gather information and prepare case strategies
  • Coordinate and schedule depositions, court appearances, and hearings
  • Maintain communication with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in the cases
  • Support attorneys in trial preparation and logistics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in legal studies or paralegal studies
  • Paralegal certification preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal in civil litigation
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, civil procedures, and court rules
  • Proficient in case management software and legal research tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
