Job DescriptionParalegal Civil Litigation Paralegal
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Civil Litigation Paralegal to support our legal team in managing a diverse caseload. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in all phases of civil litigation, from case inception through trial, ensuring the efficient and effective handling of cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trial by organizing exhibits and witness lists
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Manage case files and maintain accurate case management records
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law
- Assist in the discovery process, including drafting discovery requests and responses
- Review and summarize documents for relevance and privilege
- Interview witnesses and experts to gather information and prepare case strategies
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, court appearances, and hearings
- Maintain communication with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in the cases
- Support attorneys in trial preparation and logistics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in legal studies or paralegal studies
- Paralegal certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal in civil litigation
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, civil procedures, and court rules
- Proficient in case management software and legal research tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
