Geotechnical Project Manager

We’re actively seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager to lead and deliver complex geotechnical engineering projects from concept to completion. This leadership role involves managing field investigations, coordinating with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring technical excellence in all aspects of project execution. The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with extensive geotechnical experience and strong project management capabilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee geotechnical site investigations and evaluate subsurface conditions
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage project schedules, staffing, and budgets
  • Review and deliver design documents, technical reports, and client proposals
  • Lead teams through all phases of engineering projects while ensuring compliance with contract and regulatory requirements
  • Interface directly with clients to provide status updates, resolve issues, and ensure satisfaction
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, promoting technical growth and performance excellence
  • Identify new project opportunities and assist with proposal development and client outreach

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, geotechnical, or related engineering field
  • 8–10 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in project management
  • PE license required; LSRP and 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER preferred
  • Proficiency with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Rocscience, GSLOPE, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to travel (approximately 10%)

Physical & Work Environment:

  • Ability to work both in office and field settings
  • Comfortable walking on uneven terrain in varied weather conditions
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and wear required PPE during fieldwork

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary: $102,000–$141,000
  • Bonus potential, mileage reimbursement, and full benefits package
