Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year in New Ulm, MN. This contract position offers a 37.5-hour workweek, five days per week, serving elementary and middle school students. The position starts on August 14, 2025, and concludes May 20, 2026.
Qualifications:
- Tier 3 or 4 Minnesota Special Education License
Position Details:
- Caseload size: Approximately 6-8 students
- Age groups: Elementary and middle school
- Two openings focus on Emotional/Behavioral Disorders (Level IV) one serving K-2 and another at the middle school level
- One opening emphasizes Autism Spectrum Disorders within a small, self-contained, mixed-age environment
- Curriculum prioritizes basic skills with a strong focus on social development
Responsibilities include planning and implementing specialized instruction aligned with students individual education plans (IEPs) while supporting social and behavioral growth. Collaborating with staff and families to create an inclusive and effective learning environment is essential.
