Position Summary

Grace Church (Cape Coral Campus) is looking for an experienced leader who loves Jesus, the local church, and children in that order. The candidate needs to be proficient in creating and leading teams of volunteers, understanding scope and cycle for childrens curriculum, and comfortable working alongside parents. The ideal candidate needs to be comfortable leading from upfront and teaching phase-appropriate lessons to children. They must be proficient and comfortable planning large events that attract children, working with at-risk families and children, and serving as a team-player for the health of the entire campus ministry. The candidate needs to have growing relational intelligence, emotional health, and spiritual vitality. Authenticity, a willingness to grow, and humility are qualities of successful team-members.

Key Responsibilities

• Tend to your own walk with God and care for your soul.
• Champion and be the voice for childrens ministry for church at-large.
• Plan, coordinate, execute, and evaluate childrens ministry weekly program.
• Plan, execute, and evaluate childrens ministry large events throughout the year.
• Lead the Childrens Operational team
• Lead the childrens ministry volunteer team (coach, connect, celebrate)
• Supervise staff on Friday nights for CR Kidz
• Meet with supervisor weekly for coaching time (hows your soul & ministry)
• Meet weekly with Family Operational team
• Meet monthly with Ministry Directors team
• Meet quarterly with All-Staff team
• Relationally connect with kids and parents
• Form relationships with and provide needed resources to parents
• Contribute to family ministry initiatives and events
• Meet with children and families in crisis
• Oversee the childrens ministry budget
• Create and coordinate opportunities for children and families to serve
• Continue investing in leadership growth by reading and learning leadership strategies through assigned growth resources.
