Your role
We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager with deep expertise in RF and microwave components and systems. As an Engineering Manager you will lead the technical team in Ontario, California and be responsible for both engineering sustaining and for carrying out multiple development projects related to our metrology, interconnect and tuner product lines. You will collaborate with colleagues who have complementary expertise (electronics, microwaves) as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Lead the development team to deliver innovative, cost-efficient products on aggressive timelines.
- Execute product roadmaps and provide timely recommendations based on market insights.
- Oversee sustaining engineering for metrology, interconnect, and electro-mechanical tuner product lines.
- Act as a key technical resource, accelerating the design process through hands-on contributions.
- Plan, schedule, budget, and track engineering projects from concept to execution.
- Evaluate design challenges and trade-offs, making decisions that align with product and company goals.
- Communicate effectively across departments to ensure timely and compliant product development.
- Foster professional development and build a high-performing engineering team.
- Drive career growth and manage team development.
- Ensure traceable documentation of design stages in compliance with quality procedures.
- Manage operational budgets for your team, including personnel and equipment.
- Support business development by evaluating new product ideas and estimating specifications, timelines, and costs.
- Provide pre-sales support through system and solution proposals.
Required skills and expertise
- Master’s or PhD in Electronic/Electrical Engineering with a focus on RF & microwave engineering.
- 10+ years of engineering design experience in microwave/RF test and measurement.
- Strong technical background with leadership experience across electrical, mechanical, and software disciplines.
- Desired experience in amplifier design, load pull techniques, and calibration methodologies.
- Proven success in leading technical development teams and delivering results.
- Strategic planning and multitasking capabilities with strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience in project management, quality assurance, and cost control.
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Metrics-driven approach to performance evaluation.
- Creative, solution-oriented thinker with a drive for excellence.
