Our organization is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. We provide services across the five boroughs and offer Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per Diem opportunities to fit your schedule.
As a DSP, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by promoting independence, fostering positive relationships, and ensuring a high standard of care.
Responsibilities include:

Assisting with personal care tasks, including hygiene, grooming, feeding, ambulation, and health monitoring.

Providing direct care and support tailored to each individual’s unique needs.

Encouraging self-help skills and independence.

Supporting with medication reminders and administration (with proper training).

Promoting client safety and maintaining a safe, supportive environment.

Documenting services provided and reporting changes in client conditions.

Assisting with light housekeeping, laundry, and home management tasks.

Planning and preparing meals, assisting with feeding, and performing clean-up.

Accompanying individuals to appointments, community activities, and errands.

Assisting with toileting and mobility needs as required.

Performing additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Minimum 6 months experience working with special needs individuals.
