Volt is immediately hiring for a Gas Compressor Mechanic in San Diego, CA
As a Gas Compressor Mechanic, you will:
- Assemble, disassemble, rework and repair all compressors components as needed.
- Perform unboxing, verify, clean, install, removal, disassemble and re assemble of compressor component parts.
- Using variable temperature high pressure wash to clean compressor parts to meet build requirements.
- Use specialized cleaning methods to remove preservatives and rust to meet build standards and requirements.
- Perform duties working from Shop Floor Information System, operation instruction sheets, assembly drawings, bill of materials, photographs, written and oral instructions
- Apply computer skills to access and record electronic information in programs such as Shop Floor Information System.
- Inspect parts, components, and assemblies prior to installation.
This is a 15 month temp assignment with strong potential to go temp to perm.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 6am – 2:30pm or 2pm – 10:30pm plus overtime during week and weekend as needed.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 1 – 2 years of Mechanic skills
- Strong knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Military engine mechanic and/or automotive engine experience is highly preferred
Pay Rate: $25.00-$25.75 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
