Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Wide Format Operator for our Zund cutter, EFI Viewtech, Swiss Q, and Laminator. This individual needs to work independently with little supervision, and we prefer someone with training and/or supervisory experience.

Education & Certification/Licensing Requirements

High School Diploma or G.E.D.

• Reviewing department job tickets, managing workflow to ensure all orders are completed on time, and consistently meeting customers expectations while maximizing machine efficiency.
• Properly using and maintaining all department tools and equipment, managing machine logs and coordinating maintenance and repair calls with vendors.
• Experience with large format imaging roll and rigid printing and precision finishing.
• Experience printing on a large variety of substrates.
• Finisher, capable of laminating, mounting, and trimming to exact specifications.
• High level of experience with Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Must be able to effectively prepare and troubleshoot a variety of file formats and edit PDF documents.
• Understanding of RIP software and color management.
• Willingness to follow department policies and procedures and maintain a clean and safe work area.
  

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Prolonged periods of standing in a fast paced and occasionally high stress production company setting.
• Ability to work overtime during peak periods.
• Extensive lifting, reaching and bending actions.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
• Effective visual and hearing abilities, with or without aid, suitable for an office and production warehouse environment.
