Woodshop Specialist
Location: Grass Valley, California

Living Intent Yurt Company is seeking a skilled Woodshop Specialist to join our team of artisans, builders, and creatives. We design and craft high-quality, sustainable yurts for people who value nature-connected living and intentional design. Our woodshop is where raw materials become meaningful structures — and we need a dedicated craftsperson to help bring that vision to life.
Responsibilities:

Craft yurt components (lattice walls, rafters, etc.) with precision and care

Operate woodworking machinery (table saws, planers, jointers, routers, sanders, etc.) safely and efficiently

Read and follow technical drawings and build specs

Perform quality control checks throughout the build process

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe woodshop environment

Assist with organization of product shipping
Ideal Candidate:
-
2+ years experience in woodworking, carpentry, or timber frame construction

Strong understanding of joinery, wood species, and finishing techniques
-
Detail-oriented and proud of producing clean, accurate work

Able to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet for extended periods

Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative, mission-driven team
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills

Passion for sustainable design, tiny homes, or off-grid living is a major plus
