We are seeking a Engineering Manager who is eager to join our established yet still growing company!

Who you are:

Bachelors degree in engineering or similar

2+ years of leadership experience

Extensive experience in an engineering discipline

Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.

Strong project management skills

Experience in the engine maintenance repair and overhaul space

What you will be doing:

Recognizes and understands flight/product safety critical parts and processes.

Responsible for immediately reporting flight/product safety concerns.

Participates in proactive risk analysis of flight/product safety critical parts and processes.

Recognizes and understands the Just Culture policy.

Plans, organizes, directs and controls the activities and operations of an engineering department/project team.

Develops and implements policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department/project team.

Consults and negotiates with clients to prepare specifications, explain proposals and present engineering reports and findings.

Assigns, coordinates and reviews the technical work of the department or project teams.

May participate directly in the design, development and inspection of technical projects or in the engineering work of the department/project team.

Oversees engineering projects to ensure they are technically sound and in compliance with all internal and external regulatory standards.

Monitors the progress of on-going projects, makes recommendations for improving the process to meet the needs of the end-users, performs job cost reporting, budget analysis and reporting of overall project control.

Determines if assistance is required from outside contractors, initiates arrangements, provides technical data and assists contractors with related support services.

Exercises authority in hiring, training, career development, performance appraisal, salary adjustments, promotion, discipline, health, safety and the general employee relations of direct reports.

Actively participates as a member of the appropriate management team(s), assisting with the development and realization of departmental strategic plans, budgets, goals and outcomes.

Carries out special projects as assigned.
