Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Discovery Paralegal to join our dynamic Litigation team. This position requires a motivated professional who excels in document management, discovery processes, and client communication. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and thrives in a fast-paced legal setting.
Key Responsibilities
Client Communication:
Maintain consistent and professional contact with clients to gather relevant information, provide case updates.
Discovery and Legal Drafting:
Draft and send responses to discovery requests with accuracy and compliance.
Prepare and send formal correspondence to opposing counsel.
Organize discovery responses and ensure all deadlines are met.
Document Management:
Review, summarize, and organize case files and produced documents.
Create detailed document summaries and chronologies.
Legal Research & Case Preparation:
Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and filings.
File Maintenance:
Ensure all case documentation is accurate, complete, and timely filed both digitally and physically as needed.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal with a strong emphasis on drafting discovery responses.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines under pressure.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certification from an ABA-accredited program preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in labor and employment law.
- Prior work in a plaintiff-side litigation firm.
Bilingual skills are a plus.
