Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Aftermarket Service Manager, the Field Service Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing a wide range of electrical, mechanical, and melting systems at customer sites. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, customer service abilities, and a willingness to travel extensively to support clients in various industries.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose component-level issues with company products in the field.
  • Perform static checks to determine the root cause of technical problems.
  • Repair electronic and mechanical components and replace faulty parts as needed.
  • Document repair steps and provide detailed feedback to management and engineering teams.
  • Deliver remote and on-site technical support to customers, resolving issues efficiently.
  • Conduct equipment operation and maintenance training sessions for customer personnel.
  • Complete all service documentation, reports, and customer records accurately.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for aftermarket parts or product sales.
  • Adhere to all safety policies, work rules, and regulations at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Electronics or related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience working with electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with induction heating/melting and hydraulic systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
  • Strong computer literacy for documentation and reporting.

Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface with customers and internal teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic math proficiency for technical measurements and calculations.
