- Check machine settings to ensure correct lens, nozzle, assist gases and laser head are in place for optimal performance and cut quality.
- Responsible tor keeping material flowing to and from machine to optimize cut time and machine capabilities.
- Locate from stock and verify material required to produce parts per Work Order.
- Look for improvement opportunities to optimize production (example – lights out opportunities, head down cutting)
- Maintain equipment, including cleaning lens, trays, slats and dust collector.
- Experience with Mazak Lasers, Nesting Software and the ability to renest existing programs (Preferred)
- Ability to understand maintenance of the machine, reset alarms, address issues and perform all related tasks (Preferred)
- Must be dependable, on time and ready to work.
- Must be able to work overtime when needed.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust quickly to changing priorities.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
