Chiappetta Shoes is looking for a long-term sales associate that is looking for a career in the footwear world! It's a great field and a great opportunity to learn from one of the best businesses in the industry. This isn't just a sales job; this is a career opportunity. We approach sales and customer service in a very old-school way. “Old school dudes with new school shoes” is what we like to say. The best way to sum it up is that we look at the client–salesperson relationship as a problem–solution interaction. For many people customer service seems like a thing of the past. For most millennials and younger, customer service means free shipping, no tax, free returns, and maybe a small amount of advice, but not REAL service in terms of advice and solutions to your problem. We expect our sales staff to have a memorable personal touch, charisma, and a professional appearance. We expect our employees to be contributors, bringing imagination and energy to our company and community. We expect our sales people to be able to sell! Chiappetta Shoes offers great working hours, no Sundays or late evenings.
Responsibilities
- Sell and sell well!
- Daily marketing initiatives and social media assistance.
- Checking in daily shipments.
- Shoe Display maintenance and cleaning.
- Cash register operation.
- Detailed inventory work.
Additional Information
Chiappetta Shoes has been in business for 104 years and we do not take that for granted. We have some major initiatives going forward with a new e-commerce website as well as expanding into new product categories and we need the right people to make that happen. Having motivated and energetic employees is the only way to make GREAT things happen. Be prepared.
One bonus for anyone we're looking for is that we would like to find individuals that would be interested in becoming a Certified Pedorthist. We do all our manufacturing in-house so there's a hand's-on manufacturing aspect as well as patient management. Pedorthics is a dying breed and shops like ours are thriving because of high-touch service... helping people live life to their fullest and really solving problems.
