Position Overview
The Director of Foundry Engineering will oversee the engineering department, leading innovative projects in aluminum/magnesium casting and metal manufacturing. This role requires strategic leadership to drive efficiency, quality, and safety in manufacturing processes while ensuring alignment with company goals and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the engineering team to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement engineering strategies for aluminum/magnesium casting and metal manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with production teams to enhance manufacturing capabilities and efficiency.
- Establish and monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in foundry operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering; a Master's degree is a plus
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of aluminum/magnesium casting, die casting, and metal manufacturing processes.
- Proven track record of successful project management in a foundry or manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
