Position Overview
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all equipment and facilities within the food processing plant. This role ensures that production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely, while also adhering to industry regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
- Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize production disruptions.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Manage maintenance budgets and costs, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial targets.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure that all maintenance activities align with production goals and timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance for reporting and analysis.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements related to food processing equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in food processing or manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of food processing, beef processing, and case ready operations.
- Experience with maintenance management software and tools.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with industry safety standards and regulations.
Benefits
Base Salary: $100,000 - $135,000/year
