New Hope is seeking a full-time, live-in Administrator at our maternity home, the Joan of Arc House, located in Washington Township, NJ (Bergen County).
In addition to overseeing the smooth running of the household, the Administrator will be responsible for mentoring up to 5 first-time, single moms who have chosen life for their child. These moms will come from challenging environments and backgrounds. Many will have never experienced unconditional love. The Caregiver, with help from New Hope volunteers, will help start these women on their journey to an independent life and the opportunity for their child to thrive supported by New Hope’s mission of helping them achieve:

Responsibilities:
- Organize and post a weekly chores/cleaning schedule
- Ensure moms (and babies) are eating nutritious meals
- Daily meetings with all guests to discuss any issues/concerns
- Keeping updated records for each mom and baby per State requirements
- Document monthly fire drill results and any remedial actions needed
- Ensure moms and babies are keeping all medical appointments including arranging transportation where needed
- Hosting weekly workshops on relevant financial topics, job/career topics, and life skills topics
- Ensuring spiritual guidance is being offered
- Tracking and reporting progress of each mom on her journey to become independent
Skills Required:
- Strong communicator – Spanish language skills a major plus
- Comfortable with conflict mediation
- Strong organization skills
- Ability and desire “to walk in her shoes”
- Practicing tough love, as required
