Southwest Michigan

Up to $65k + bonus + benefits!


Training General Manager is responsible for overseeing all restaurant operations, including staff hiring, training, and development, while ensuring compliance with food safety and cleanliness standards and achieving financial goals. This leadership role involves managing daily operations, leading the management team, driving profitability through cost and inventory controls, and cultivating a positive company culture. A strong candidate will have previous restaurant or retail management experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate a team to provide exceptional customer service.

Core responsibilities

  • Restaurant Operations: Manage all aspects of the daily restaurant operations to ensure high-quality food, excellent customer service, and cleanliness.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, hire, train, and mentor staff to build a high-performing team, fostering a positive culture that aligns with company values.
  • Financial Management: Drive profitability by overseeing cash control, managing inventory and costs, and reviewing financial reports to make necessary adjustments.
  • Training and Performance: Lead training initiatives for all team members, from new hires to management, to improve performance and achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure all operations, including food safety and regulatory compliance, meet company standards.

Key qualifications

  • Experience: At least one to two years of restaurant or retail management experience is required.
  • Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities are crucial.
  • Customer Service: A track record of providing exceptional customer service is necessary.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with inventory, cost controls, cash handling, and scheduling is expected.
  • Availability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as needed.
  • Certification: Serve Safe certification is often preferred, and training may be provided.
