Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting geotechnical investigations, analyzing soil properties, and providing expert guidance on foundation design and soil stability. This role requires a strong background in geotechnical engineering principles and practices, with a focus on delivering high-quality engineering solutions for various projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct geotechnical site investigations and assessments
- Analyze soil and rock samples to determine engineering properties
- Prepare geotechnical reports and design recommendations
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure geotechnical considerations are addressed in design
- Provide expert advice on foundation design, slope stability, and earth retention systems
- Review and interpret geotechnical data and reports from junior engineers
- Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards and regulations
- Mentor and train junior geotechnical engineers and technicians
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering
- Strong knowledge of site investigation techniques and soil analysis
- Experience with geotechnical software and modeling tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
