Staff Accountant (Kirkland, WA)
Job Responsibilities:

CV Resources is working with a well-established distribution company backed by private equity, looking to hire a Staff Accountant with at least 1-2 years of accounting experience. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their career in accounting and gain exposure to financial operations in a dynamic, private equity-backed environment. The role will be based onsite at either their Kirkland, WA office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily accounting tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare financial statements and account reconciliations for various ledgers and balance sheet accounts.
- Use NetSuite software to enter and track financial transactions, generate reports, and analyze data.
- Support the preparation of management and investor reports, adhering to private equity standards.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights into financial performance.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements and handle other daily financial transactions.
- Participate in audits and regulatory filings as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth and accurate financial operations.
Required Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a distribution or private equity environment.
- Strong proficiency with NetSuite or similar ERP software.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with private equity-backed organizations.
- Previous experience with financial reporting and preparing budgets/forecasts.
